The Thai-Australian Association of Queensland Inc. (TAAQ) was registered under the Associations Incorporation Act 1981, incorporation association No. IA19580.  The Association is a non-for-profit body which represents the values and interests of the Thai community, in Queensland, Australia.


Our Objects

The objects of the association are to represent, support and above all operate in the best interests of the Thai community in the state of Queensland. The association endeavours to nurture the growth and development of Thai culture and language and provide community services for the Thai community.  The assistance all Thais and their families in Queensland when and where needed in consultation with the Consular General of Thailand in Brisbane and The Royal Thai Embassy in Canberra. The Association represents the community in networking with other public and private sectors to promote a warm harmony of Thai- Australian culture.

The TAAQ has been at the forefront for many years now in hosting events from the Brisbane Thai Festival, Thai Night and Friendship Golf Tournaments.  The festival will represent the Thai community in Brisbane and Queensland to celebrate Thailand and its Thai culture and lifestyle to the Queensland people and its visitors. This event will cater for the whole family providing the full range of Thai entertainment, Thai cuisine, Thai kick boxing and showcasing traditional Thai lifestyles.

We are the main supporter of the Thai language and cultural school at Wat Sangaratanaram in Gold Coast.
